A ten-classroom building for a single-shift school
The diaspora’s ten-classroom building project brings alumnae together around a shared ambition: providing the additional space needed to return Methodist Girls’ High School to a single-shift school day.
The Washington Metropolitan Branch identifies the building as a collaborative diaspora project and reports a leading financial contribution. An announcement from the branch describes funding from North American chapters in the United States and Canada.
The goal is a school day in which pupils have the space and time to learn together. Ontario’s wider collaboration with sister chapters has also supported repairs, renovation and painting of school buildings and classrooms.
