1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://mghsogaontarioca.org (the “Site”) and any purchase, order, donation, registration or payment you make through it. The Site is operated by the Methodist Girls’ High School Old Girls Association, Ontario, Canada Chapter (“MGHSOGAO”, “we”, “us”), a registered not-for-profit organization in Ontario, Canada. By using the Site or completing checkout, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Privacy Policy and our Donation Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your province, to make a purchase or donation. By placing an order you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method.
3. Products, Orders and Pricing
- Items offered through the Site, including fundraising food orders, are sold to raise funds for our chapter’s programs and our Alma Mater.
- All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Prices are final; no additional tax is added at checkout unless stated.
- Product images are for illustration. Portion sizes and presentation may vary.
- An order is accepted when you receive our confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, for example when an item sells out or a pricing error occurs, and any payment will then be refunded in full.
- Orders must be placed by the published deadline for each event.
4. Payment
We accept payment through the methods shown at checkout, which may include Interac e-Transfer, credit and debit cards processed by WooPayments (powered by Stripe), and PayPal. Card details are entered on, and processed by, our payment processors; MGHSOGAO does not store full card numbers. Orders paid by Interac e-Transfer are confirmed once payment is received. Unpaid orders may be cancelled after the order deadline.
5. Pickup and Delivery
- Pickup takes place at the location and time window published for each event. You are responsible for collecting your order within that window.
- Delivery, where offered, is arranged by MGHSOGAO through a third-party provider. Delivery fees are fixed by postal-code zone and shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates.
- You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate address and a phone number at which you can be reached.
- Responsibility for food passes to you on pickup or delivery. Please refrigerate or consume items promptly.
6. Food Allergies and Dietary Information
Food is prepared by volunteers in kitchens that may handle common allergens, including peanuts and groundnuts, tree nuts, sesame (benni), fish, shellfish, eggs, milk, wheat and soy. We cannot guarantee any item is allergen-free. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, contact us before ordering. You are responsible for deciding whether an item is suitable for you and anyone you share it with.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds, cancellations and order issues are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please contact us before filing a dispute or chargeback.
8. Donations
Donations are governed by our Donation Policy. Donations are voluntary and do not purchase goods or services.
9. Events
Attendance at chapter events is subject to the event details we publish and any venue rules. Photographs and video may be taken at public chapter events and used on the Site and our social media. If you prefer not to be featured, tell the event organizer or email us and we will respect your request.
10. Forms and Communications
When you submit a membership, contact, RSVP, sponsorship or alumnae-update form, you agree to provide accurate information and permit us to contact you about your submission. Please do not send payment card numbers or other sensitive information through forms or email.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, submitting false orders or information, or posting unlawful or offensive content.
12. Intellectual Property
The MGHS crest, the MGHSOGAO name, the motto “Honour Before Honours”, and all text, photographs, audio, video and designs on the Site belong to MGHSOGAO, Methodist Girls’ High School or their respective owners. You may share links and content for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. Any other use requires our written permission.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site uses or links to third-party services, including PayPal, WooPayments/Stripe, Uber, Google Calendar, Facebook and YouTube. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
14. Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided “as is”. We work to keep information accurate and current, but event details, menus and availability may change. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MGHSOGAO and its executives, members and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other laws that cannot be excluded.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify MGHSOGAO against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Ontario.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Site. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
